Why We Exist

inteLEARN was created in response to one powerful truth: knowledge changes lives.
But for too long, access to that knowledge, especially business knowledge, has been unequal. The formal education system doesn't always reach communities, individuals or micro-enterprises who need it most, when they need it. Expensive, long-form courses are often out of reach. And many existing resources are not designed for local realities.
Get in Touch

inteLEARN closes that gap. We deliver content that is:

Simple to understand
Flexible to learn on your terms
Affordable because we believe in equity, not exclusivity
Relevant to your daily life or business
Uses the stories of other entrepreneurs
Short - micro-courses that address a specific question or problem
Move from the problem or question, to practical steps to address that problem

Our Vision & Mission

Our vision is rooted in inclusivity, innovation, and empowerment. inteLEARN bridges the gap between education and opportunity, helping build stronger, more resilient businesses and communities.

At inteLEARN, our tagline is more than a promise, it's our core mission. “Making Knowledge Accessible” captures inteLEARN’s mission to remove the barriers that limit access to information, processes, and actions that can help businesses to thrive.

By combining technology with practical, locally relevant learning, inteLEARN empowers entrepreneurs and small business owners to gain the knowledge and confidence they need to grow and thrive, anytime, anywhere.

Testimonials

  • “I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Arlene Walsh for over 25 years across a range of educational contexts. Our collaborations have consistently produced projects of significant reach and impact within the education sector. Arlene is a professional of exceptional integrity—flexible, adaptable, and deeply committed to excellence. Her strong research skills, respect for deadlines, and passion for equity and justice are evident in everything she undertakes. As a developer of materials, facilitator, and evaluator, Arlene brings both creativity and rigour to her work, always ensuring meaningful outcomes for learners and stakeholders alike.”
    Dr Thabi Molete
Formerly of Matthew Goniwe School of leadership and Governance, now of Crystal Education and Training
”Your help transformed my speech from mundane to riveting. I was proud to deliver it at the Conference.”
    Ms Zandile Kunene-Mbeje
Elected as President of  the CommonWealth Council of Educational Administration and Management, 2008.
  • “I have known Arlene for many years, first as a co-worker in an educational NGO and secondly as colleague on large scale projects, in the areas of education, self- development and transformation. In all cases, Arlene has always taken a lead in the design of written materials, either for training or for policy direction.  Her written work is excellent, being clear yet structured within a framework of creative thinking.

Working with Arlene has also been fun.  She has a keen sense of humour and often the people she works with enjoy and engage in her banter.  She works well to deadlines and will chivvy colleagues along to ensure timely delivery.  Arlene sets high standards for herself and others.  She is task driven and utterly ethical is what she does. This latter value is what drives her and is a major strength.

At this time in her career, she can look back on the volumes of material written and the engaging conversations she has had, plus a record of individual ‘outcomes’ she has enabled.  Whatever comes next will no doubt be different and always of a high quality.  I wish her success.”
    Ms Pat Sullivan
National Director of MSTP, Consultant to Khulisa Management and the NECT
“The way Arlene facilitated  the special booklets for entrepreneurs in the forestry sector was so interesting! We were never bored and feel empowered to help communities to develop their businesses.”

FAQ

What is inteLEARN and who is it for?

inteLEARN provides online learning, created to offer YOU a way to find answers to questions you may have about your business. It is focused on offering ways to help YOU to address problems that you encounter in your business.

How is inteLEARN different from other online learning platforms?

Micro-courses are modular, flexible, and immediately usable — created for adults who want learning that respects their experience and helps them do better work in real contexts.

inteLEARN was created in response to a simple but persistent problem:  much online learning is tidy, theoretical, and disconnected from the realities people actually face at work and in their communities.
